Already 1,100 feet above sea-level there will be far reaching views all around. We will visit Ferndale Wind Farm and then to a trig point on Mynydd Maerdy. Here we can check for the mysterious compass stone? &#8211; a medieval shrine perhaps? The route then heads down into Maerdy and across some crags above Ferndale back to our start point.
