On the second Monday of every month we open the doors of the Llantrisant Guildhall for our Marauders Social Hub.

Everyone is welcome and it’s a great way of either catching up with your fellow Marauders in a relaxed environment or to drop in, if it’s your first time, to find out more about us if you’ve not yet decided to take a more active part in the group.

Each month, we split the morning into two; the first half is our informal catch up followed by an invited guest speaker or community group who come in to give us some insights, advice, guidance, education to help us with our lives.

Everyone is welcome and we supply free light refreshments throughout the morning too.

Oliver Wicks & Andy Schofield from South East Wales Rivers Trust

This month we will be joined by Oliver and Andy from the South East Wales Rivers Trust. Our rivers are an important natural habitat and Oliver and Andy will be telling us how important the trust is and how it protects rivers, streams and natural habitats. A large part of their work is educating local schools and engaging with the community. It will be great to hear about their roles and the fantastic organisation.

On the day

Arrival – Doors open at 9am but feel free to drop in at anytime during the morning – a warm welcome awaits!

Parking – Parking is very limited directly outside the Guildhall so please use one of the local village car parks or on-street if you can find a space.

Registration – You will be asked for your name, your mobile telephone number along with an emergency contact name and number. If you have any relevant medical conditions or medication that may be relevant to declare, please pass this information to the event leader during registration.

If you already have your Marauders digital ID, great – we’ll just scan you in. If not, you can pre-register and get your very own QR code beforehand here –

Volunteering support

This event requires some volunteering support to make it run smoothly and we’d love to hear from you if you are able to lend a hand on the day. This week we are looking for:

Pre-event preparation – Just turn up 15 minutes early to set up our event venue, arrange the tables and chairs for our Social hub, help set out the sports hall
