Volunteering with the Marauders
Find your place.
Find your purpose.
Volunteering with the Marauders is a chance to support your peers, give something back and be part of a community that helps men feel more connected, active and supported.
Find a role that fits
You don’t need to be a leader, expert or “people person” to get involved.
There are lots of ways to support the Marauders – either directly with our team, through our wider network, or by offering your time, skills or local connections.
What’s most important is finding something that feels right for you.
That might mean:
helping on a group walk or activity
supporting events or social sessions
offering a hand behind the scenes
sharing skills, ideas or useful local contacts
supporting someone as they take their first steps
You can give:
an hour here and there
a few hours a month
a bit more, if and when it suits you
Why volunteering matters
Volunteers help us reach more men, run more activities and create more opportunities for connection, support and wellbeing.
Whether you’re welcoming someone at an event, helping on a walk, or supporting behind the scenes, your time can make a real difference.
And often, the people who get involved find they get just as much back as they give.
If you’re feeling unsure, that’s completely normal
A lot of people feel hesitant before volunteering for the first time – especially if confidence is low or life feels a bit unsettled.
You won’t be thrown in at the deep end.
We’ll help you ease in, get comfortable and find your feet at your own pace. The aim is to help you feel part of the team, not put pressure on you.
